Love Is the Explanation of Everything

Love is the explanation of everything. A love that opens up to the other person in his unique individuality and speaks the decisive words: "I want you to be there." Unless we begin with this acceptance of the other, however he may appear, recognizing in him a true if perhaps indistinct image of Christ, we cannot say that we truly love. All authentic love recapitulates to a certain degree the original evaluation of God, as we repeat with the Creator, with respect to every single human being, that his existence is "very good" (Gn 1:31).
