The Lord Will Not Ask You to Perform Great Deeds

Do not hesitate to turn to Jesus. Turn to him once you see his face: it is not the face of a prophet, not the face of a wise man or a liberator, but the face of God-made man. The Lord will not ask you to perform great deeds, but simply the quotidian effort of contributing day after day to the construction of your fatherland through a competent professional preparation, the unselfish performance of work in relation to others-without giving in to "slacking"-while serving your brothers on a thousand small everyday occasions.
